ADELAIDE HILLS INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM

April 10-29

See eight internationally recognised sculptors work their magic to create just as many stone sculptures at The Cedars – the Hahndorf estate of artist Hans Heysen. The works will begin as large blocks of marble or granite, before the artists gradually transform them into unique sculptures that will remain within the Adelaide Hills, later forming a sculpture trail.

 

PENOLA COONAWARRA ARTS FESTIVAL

May 17-27

It’s a happy combination of art, wine and local produce, with more than a week’s worth of artistic events including local and national exhibitions, music, dance, literary and history tours, a farmers’ market and a competition (closing May 11) to design next year’s festival poster.

 

COOBER PEDY OPAL FESTIVAL

April 7

Head outback and underground as the 

opal capital showcases its mining heritage. It will kick off with a parade down the main street of town, before continuing at Oz Minerals Oval where there will be market stalls, live music, novelty events and rides.
