Queensland’s Affordable Accommodation – Backpacker 

Where is it?

Surfers Paradise, Qld South Coast. Centrally located one block from Surfers Paradise Beach, Islander Resort Hotel is within close walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars; a solid base from which to explore the area.

What’s it like?

Islander encompasses a three-star resort as well as an adjoining backpacker hostel, providing a range of budget accommodation. The property includes a restaurant, bar and gaming lounge in one named ‘Vegas in Paradise’, and a range of other facilities such as internet cafés, on-site bottle shop, car-rental desk, outdoor pool, heated spa, steam room, full-sized floodlit tennis court, squash courts, complimentary undercover parking, barbecue and sundeck area and laundry facilities. All accommodation comes with linen, a television and fridge, and most rooms have a private balcony.

How much does it cost?

Dorm rooms from $30 per person per night or private double rooms from $95 per room per night. Standard Hotel Rooms from $116 (Sunday to Thursday), or $126 (Friday and Saturday), One Bedroom Apartments from $136 (Sunday to Thursday), or $146 (Friday and Saturday). Superior accommodation options also available.
