At just under two metres in length, the world’s largest espresso machine is any barista’s nightmare.

Coffeeeeeeeeee. Only the true addict could appreciate this wonder of the modern world. At just under two metres in length, the world’s largest espresso machine is any barista’s nightmare.

It can brew up to 18 cups of coffee at any one time and requires five people to do so – or one heck of a fast Italian with too much caffeine in his bloodstream.

If you want to see this world record espresso machine in action, head to the Australian capital of cafe culture and follow the smell of roasted coffee beans at the company’s Melbourne factory.

Did you know? // The Ethiopian Church banned coffee until the middle of the 19th Century because it was used in religious ceremonies. Turkey also banned coffee in the 17th Century for political reasons. Coffee was also associated with rebellious political activities in Europe. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
