Taking out a whopping 61.6 per cent of votes, Qantas has won the title of Australia’s favourite airline for the third year in a row.
But at the core of ‘the Spirit of Australia’, is “reliability”, according to your responses. That’s “reliable safety”, “reliable flight times without delays”, “reliable good food” and “you can rely on them for wonderful service”. But it’s also the little touches, it seems, that make Qantas a resounding favourite. In particular, the “all-inclusive prices” that avoids hidden costs, “generous baggage allowances”, “in-seat entertainment” and “extra leg room”, not to mention the largest network of flights in the country. Looks like the flying kangaroo’s stellar track record is set to jump to greater heights for a while yet. See qantas.com.au
Despite being overshadowed in second place for the last three years, Virgin proves it has a legion of loyal fans, who value the airline’s affordable pricing, great service and frequent-flyer programs. More affordable still is Jetsar, voted for its “low prices and enthusiastic staff”, followed by low-cost carrier, Tiger.
