Uluru and GBR in the running for 7 Wonders of the World competition

Say it loud and proud

Australia is full of wonderful landscapes, natural phenomena and impressive rock formations, and now’s the time to get online and make sure we get our own Natural Wonders recognised.

Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef are both in the running to become one of the seven new wonders of nature. In the second round of nominations, Uluru – the winner of national qualifications – and the GBR – automatically qualifying as it is in PNG and Australia – will be up against 251 other natural wonders from around the world. So get voting to make sure we make the top 77 and qualify to go through to stage three which will commence July 2009.
The final round of the campaign will see a global vote-off for the top seven locations.
