Tim Fischer reveals to Australian Traveller some of his favourite secret destinations.

Tim Fischer’s Secret Spots

He’s like a Leyland brother with clout – an ex-deputy prime minister who managed the political miracle of leaving his office with his dignity and popularity intact, a man so widely travelled around this country (and so well received at all stops) that his old and dusty Akubra hat sold for a record $7500 at a charity auction.

Now employed as the chairman of Tourism Australia and one of the land’s most famous and intrepid travel fans, Tim Fischer was invited by Australian Traveller to share some of his favourite secret destinations.
It was a smart choice: few people are as expert in off-the-track and oft-overlooked magical Aussie locations.
