This image, ‘The Sunworshipper’, came about one morning in February when I took my darling boy Rosco to Jenny Dixon Beach, on the NSW Central Coast, for a sunrise treat.

I spent the morning telling him to get his bum out of my shots, only to find once I got home that those with him in it were the truly special ones. Rosco had only recently recovered from a stroke and regained the use of his legs and voice, so this image has come to symbolise the joy each day brings, as well as the strength found through resilience and perseverance.
