Icing sugar sand… but no people
Murrays Beach, Jervis Bay, NSW
Next door to known Hyams Beach – famous for having some of the whitest sand in the world – is this lesser-known gem.
As one reader explained, “a) it’s beautiful and has the same white sand as Hyams only a lot less people; b) it’s sheltered because it’s opposite an island; c) there’s no development because it’s in a National Park; and d) it has interesting history – it was going to be the site of Australia’s first nuclear reactor.”
We’re sold.
