Berkelouw Books, in the Italian-flavoured inner-west Sydney suburb of Leichhardt, has opened as a relaxed, refined wine bar – with hopefully more to follow.
The Berkelouw Wine Bar will offer award-winning wines from local wineries that have been handpicked by owners Colin Cappelleri and Gary Mullins, along with produce from Orange and Sydney.
As Mullins says, “Our aim was to create a relaxed meeting place where you can appreciate the best of what life has to offer – live music, wine and delicate tasting plates. We showcase boutique wineries and the local wines they have to offer, along with live music and tempting tasting plates, so all you need to bring is the good conversation!”
What better way is there to enjoy a relaxing afternoon than to enjoy a good book, conversation with friends, tasty produce and some of Australia’s finest wines?
The wines and tasting plates offered will change with the seasons; autumn will feature wines from Hilltops in the Murray Dowling Region, and in winter, Berkelouw Wine Bar will showcase wines from the Southern Highlands.
Thanks to the success that the Wine Bar has been met with, Cappelleri and Mullins are already planning to open Wine Bars in the other Berkelouw Bookstores around Australia – of which there are more than ten locations in three states.
What better way is there to enjoy a relaxing afternoon than to enjoy a good book, conversation with friends, tasty produce and some of Australia’s finest wines?
