It’s easy to love an amazing meal when it comes with a side of slumber in a lovely little retreat like the 12 ‘resting spots’ on the grounds here, but Biota’s restaurant stands alone as a winning experience – much like its strictly garnish-free food.

“There’s such beauty in a perfect piece of duck,” chef/owner James Viles has previously said, in summary of his food philosophy. “Why add anything that doesn’t need to be there?” Our tip: the main menu may be the star, but the bar menu is incredible, too.
