Operating in the region for more than 33 years, Coral Expeditions knows the Great Barrier Reef better than most. Their extended small-ship cruise itineraries allow visitors the chance to get up close and personal with one of the world’s most rare and beautiful seascapes.

Guests can choose between three-night southern or four-night northern reef itineraries, or can combine both for the ultimate seven-night Great Barrier Reef exploration.

Expedition highlights include Hinchinbrook Channel, Ribbon Reefs, Dunk Island, Lizard Island and Cooktown.

Guests enjoy fresh and locally sourced food and wine, a team of expert guides, off-shore excursions to secluded islands on a glass bottom boat, snorkelling and SCUBA diving, informative presentations and educational documentaries.

It’s a great experience that caters to the whole family!

Carrying a total of 44 guests, Coral Expeditions II has an intimate and casual atmosphere, with 22 rooms across two levels.

Accommodation is comfortable and well-appointed with single or double beds, ensuites, desks, big picture windows and some with couches.

On board facilities include two fully stocked cocktail bars, a spacious dining room, large sun deck, lounge, resource library and open bridge.

The ship is also equipped with a glass bottom boat, perfect for viewing the magnificent coral and sea life below.

Boarding the glass bottom boat is safe and easy as guests simply step aboard from the main deck before the boat is lowered into the water by hydraulic lift.

Off-shore excursions and activities are highly personalised and tailored to the needs of guests on each individual cruise.

Guests have the option to take walks and hikes, and partake in aquatic activities such as kayaking, snorkelling and SCUBA diving, or join the glass bottom boat with Coral Expeditions’ expert marine biologist to learn about the different coral and marine species that call the Great Barrier Reef home.
