The Bama Way links a number of Aboriginal–owned tours, in partnership with tour specialist Adventure North Australia, in a journey between Cairns and the north of Cooktown in tropical North Queensland.
At Cooya Beach, brothers Linc and Brandon Walker will guide you in the footsteps of their Kuku Yalanji ancestors as you hunt for mud crabs, practise the art of spear fishing and learn about the beaches, mangroves and coastal reef system.
You can also see the Bloomfield Falls on a guided rainforest walk with the Walker family as they explain the cultural significance of the area to their people, and the incredible resources the rainforest provides.
