Photographer Nathan David Kelly’s stunning portraits are appearing for a short time at an exhibition in Cairns. Don’t miss them.  


In our latest Outback Issue, you read about the amazing Cape York journey beginning in Cairns and making its way up the Cape York Peninsula. You can relive that journey by clicking here.


And now you can also discover the same trek, only this time behind the lens of Nathan David Kelly in his inspiring new photographic journey Cairns To The Cape.  





Nathan will provide you with access to Australia’s tropical north – all the way to top, in a completely visual experience.


The exhibition will be opened by Cindy Hales, Kerry Trapnell and dancers from Djarrugun College and is to be held at the Cairns Regional Gallery.


The show will open from 2.30pm on the July 26 and will close on August 31, so if you’re in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and stop in for a look.


About Nathan David Kelly:
Nathan David Kelly is a freelance writer and photographer based in Far Northern Australia.


His images have been published widely both in Australia and internationally, and he was also the collaborating photographer on the best-selling Australian book Collective Wisdom, published in 1998.


He was recently selected as a finalist in The National Photographic Portrait Prize for a dark and brooding portrait of Don Walker (formerly of iconic Aussie rock group Cold Chisel).


He is also represented in National collections such as The National Portrait Gallery, The National Library and at The Australian War Memorial.
