Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, Qld. At the gateway to the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef, Big4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is bordered by Waite Creek and tropical rainforest. There are plentiful beaches, close by, too, the nearest one being Cannonvale Beach, three kilometres away.
What’s it like?
Part of the Big4 brand but family owned and operated, the resort has won over 20 major tourism awards, including Whitsunday Tourism Hall of Fame for Tourist and Caravan Parks in 2009 and 2010. Across 26 acres of landscaped grounds, the park has more than 40 designer-decorated, self-contained cabins and 120 caravan and camping sites. Facilities include the largest resort pool in Airlie Beach, as well as water slides, tennis, mini golf, a playground, outdoor movies, kids’ club and family fun days.
