Lake Moogerah is located at the foothills of Cunningham’s Gap. Growing up in Outback NSW I wanted to escape Brisbane’s city life.
One day after work, I jumped in the car and drove west chasing the sunset and ended up finding Lake Moogerah. With not a soul in sight (probably due to earlier rain), I drove right up to the water’s edge, set-up the tripod and fired off four shots.
Amazed by the beauty in front of me, I stepped back from the camera and just watched the sun disappear behind the hills.
Thankfully within those four shots, this one caught a glimpse of the magic.
If you are looking for a sneaky getaway outside of Brisbane’s CBD, camping along the banks of Lake Moogerah will not disappoint.
