A fleet of food trucks has arrived in Adelaide of late – up to 40 of them are now doing the city rounds (who knew Adelaide was so hungry?)

Among the first was award-winning Burger Theory, which will soon open a bricks-and-mortar restaurant, and while it’s worth a look at, we’re particularly taken with seriously cute newcomer Myrtle & Mae – a retro 1950s caravan serving cracking coffees, tarts, and all sorts of naughty treats.

For something more savoury, the new La Chiva truck is all about hearty South American dishes like chorizo burgers, while Papa’s Gourmet Hotdogs serve, well, exactly that.

If you can’t get to them all, Adelaide’s food trucks now meet once a month at ‘Fork on the Road’ gatherings, held across the city.
