For those who want to know whether a train holiday is for them, The Ghan will be open for public inspection for the first time in four years.

The Ghan Open Day will be held at Adelaide Parklands Terminal on Saturday, June 1.

Entry is a gold coin, to be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The trains’ recently refurbished Gold Twin carriages will be on display, and there will be a sausage sizzle and free face painting for children.
