This picture was taken at the Adventure Bay Lookout, the best kept secret of Bruny Island,Tasmania.
It is not until you get to the top of this flight of steps that you realise what sights you are going to be treated to.
The left coast is being pounded by the waves of the Pacific Ocean and the right coast is gently lapped by the waters of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel; this lookout is simply out of this world!
When we got out of our car (parked to the right below) all we could see was the right coast.
I remember being absolutely thrilled that I was persuaded by my husband to make this one last hike nearing sunset to the top after our wonderful yet exhausting day on the island. Imagine what I would have missed!

Incredible shot by Harshada! She seems to have captured the absolute contrast of the two massive water bodies engulfing this little piece of land or lookout bay! The fact that this is atop an elevation and most likely to be missed by a wandering tourist, makes it even more imperative that this breathtaking picture receives maximum circulation!
Lastly, I appreciate the endevour of photographers like Harshada who take the path least trodden, go out of their way and give the viewers a fantastic sneak peak of sights that could be the cornerstone of your wanderlust!
