Housed at the Ninth Island cellar door, Daniel is so dedicated to local produce that the menu changes daily. One day it may feature slow cooked salmon, the next a confit of duck or spring venison – but everything is always organic. And it works. The food is by far the best in the region.

Did you know: Rosevears is the historic shipbuilding site of the schooner Rebecca, which bore John Batman across Bass Strait in 1835 to found Melbourne. There’s a monument on the river’s edge near the town.
