Mount Hotham is the premier kids place to ski in Australia
Mt Hotham
Rundown: A real skiers’ and snowboarders’ mountain, with the best fall-line terrain and quite often the best snow in NSW and Victoria. Has a good fall back village in the nearby Dinner Plain where you can usually enjoy the snow at cheaper rates.

New in ’05: An innovative learn-to-ski program that for $699 includes lift
passes, skis, bindings, boots and poles – to keep.

The Good: Riding here after a storm is always fun. There’s a variety of terrain for those confident enough to handle their planks or board.

The Not So Good: The inevitable beginners’ bottleneck at Slalom Gully.
