The golf club at the Victorian coastal town of Portsea is ready to swing back into action after a multi-million dollar hotel development comes to completion.

The Mercure Portsea Golf Club & Resort development, due to open on June 1, involved the building of a new club house, a function complex, with a capacity of 300 people, and 24 rooms.

President of Portsea Golf Club, Haywood Richards, believes the upgraded facilities will make the club one of the leading golf clubs in the country.

“With a new clubhouse, members lounge, world class facilities and boutique accommodation rooms, the club will cater for local, interstate and international golfers,” said Mr Richards.

The golf course design has also been changed during the development of the 4-star property.

Prices at Mercure Portsea start at $169 per night. See www.accorhotels.com
