Australian Traveller was formed in February 2005 with two objectives:
- Publish Australia’s premier and iconic domestic Australian travel magazine
- Provide advertisers with a premium and effective advertising solution based on a readership of committed, smart and discerning travellers

The magazine aspires to be the most authoritative, accessible, informative and entertaining source for any Australian Traveller.
It is a bi-monthly magazine read by Australians committed to travel in this country. It is the only national domestic travel magazine and the highest selling travel magazine in Australia.
The editorial policy of the magazine is “THE REAL DEAL”. We do not accept free or sponsored travel for our reviews section. This policy enables us to maintain the editorial independence of the magazine and the trust of our readers. We pay our own way and visit anonymously to ensure we experience exactly what our readers would without fear or favour.
