There’s no shortage of good old fashioned fun in the sun to be had on Fraser Island – whether your idea of a memorable break is watching lizards sun themselves, beach combing, four-wheel-driving, bubbling the day away in a spa, water sports, bush walking, sampling native bush tucker or slumping in front of the telly.   A Little Fraser Island Time With The Family At Kingfisher Bay Resort

Lazy days can be spent exploring the national park by four-wheel-drive or on tour and the calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait are safe for older children to canoe, sail, swim and fish.

We offer  fishing clinics, plus fisher folk catch plenty of fish off the jetty and enjoy having them cooked by the resort’s Chef.

For the bigger children there are free tennis courts and for the little ones an Ausplay playground with climbing frames, swings and slides. The resort also has four large salt-water swimming pools and a spa to amuse.

The eco resort’s popular Junior Eco Ranger program is designed to show children how to care about the environment in a fun way. Programs involve open exploration and play and scientific investigation of the natural environments, like water testing various areas.

Night time activities include dinner and a general evening of fun and games including spotlighting for animals, stargazing, campfires with damper making and story telling.

Rangers also have a free daily program of bird watching, bat viewing, frog and mammal spotting, marine, mangrove and bush tucker walks.

And nights can be spent spoiling yourself with the creature comforts available at the resort, where baby-sitting services are available on request.

More:
Access to Kingfisher Bay Resort and Fraser Island is hassle-free. Virgin Blue operates direct jet services daily from Sydney, with other major city connections.  QantasLink also operates daily from Brisbane to the Fraser Coast.

Family Holiday Special:
*From $185 per night in a two-bedroom villa – minimum 4 night stay.
Conditions apply.  Online rates vary subject to availability.
