Tasmania’s most anticipated new villa is now open for bookings.
Tasmania’s cult-favourite, two-Michelin-key Saffire Freycinet is getting an uber-luxe private villa sister: Saffire Jewel. Slated to open in late 2026 and hemmed by Freycinet National Park’s stupendous natural drama, the new three-suite, 800-square-metre retreat in is now open for bookings.
No doubt, it’s where high rollers and up-to-speed holidaymakers will be flocking for their next nature-embraced group escape.
Where is Saffire Jewel located?

Saffire Jewel is situated within Tassie’s remarkable Coles Bay, which lies within Freycinet National Park. The villa is framed by the awe-inspiring pink granite peaks of The Hazards mountain range and sits above the calm waters of Great Oyster Bay.
The accommodation

With three master suites and capacious shared areas, Saffire Jewel is designed for connecting with loved ones. The arrival experience begins with a reflection pond and lush gardens through which guests steal glimpses of mountains, sky and bay.
In a setting so spellbinding, it’s hard to do anything but sloth around and gaze outwards. The infinity pool and spa present the perfect places to do just that, offering showstopping views of The Hazards.
The fire terrace begs for lingering sunset tipples and cosy card games stretching long into the night. But step inside and you may find yourself equally smitten.

The interiors forgo maximalism in favour of sleek lines and natural materials: stone underfoot, charred timber and smatterings of travertine. Suites feature panoramic ceiling-height windows and freestanding tubs.
“The Saffire Jewel has been designed so our guests can enjoy the breathtaking Tasmanian landscape with their family, friends and loved ones, whilst indulging in the luxury and intimacy of a private home, paired with the exceptional service, and culinary and immersive experiences that define Saffire Freycinet," says Dylan Counsel, General Manager of Saffire Freycinet.
A concierge team and dedicated guide are also on hand to help guests curate private experiences exploring Tasmania’s natural, culinary and cultural wonders.
