It’s the only contestant to have won its category every year since the inception of these awards, but honestly? We can’t say we’re surprised. Other restaurants borrow the spotlight from time to time, but Quay remains Australia’s most awarded restaurant, and we’re going to put that down to something quite basic: the really, truly, absolutely beautiful food.
You’ll enjoy the stunning view, of course, and the flawless service doesn’t hurt – but it’s the menu you’ll return for, again and again. Our current obsession? Move on over, Snow Egg – it’s all about the eight-texture chocolate cake.

3. Aria, Sydney

In August this year myself and my immediate family celebrated my 70th. It was a magical night. A restaurant I had always wanted to go to but needed a special occasion. The service and the service personnel were the best I have come across anywhere, including Europe, Asia and the Hawaiian Islands. They were professional, helpful but also friendly and seemed able to enjoy some of the funny events that occurred during our meal. The food was out of this world and after years of drooling about it I finally got to taste a Snow Egg. It was a birthday which will forever be imprinted on my mind. Thank you Quay.
Well Done Quay, Sydney! Best City Restaurant.
