Although I live in Melbourne, I rarely head over to St Kilda or the waterfront. On Easter Monday of this year I decided to head over and do a touristy walk to get some photos, despite the gloomy, overcast conditions.
As soon as I saw the stark white kiosk against the stormy sky I knew this would make a fantastic black and white photo and rushed to the end of the pier to get a nice close wide angle.
Very glad I braved the weather! This was definitely the standout shot of the day.
I used a Canon 5d Mark II and Canon EF 17-40mm f4 lens. Shutter was 1/1250; Aperture f10; ISO 400; handheld @17mm.
