Editorial Philosophy
Australian Traveller works to an editorial philosophy called the “Real Deal”. What this means is very simple. It means that articles in the magazine encapsulate the entire travel experience. We want to show our readers what’s underrated, what’s overrated and what will just blow your mind. This focused and balanced editorial has made Australian Traveller the best-selling travel magazine in Australia.

Editorial Submissions
If you fancy your chance as a travel writer, we encourage you to get in touch with us. If you would like your editorial submission to stand out, here are a couple of pointers to help you on your way.

  • You must have paid for the trip yourself.

  • It must be about Australia.

  • Accompany the article with the best quality photography possible.

  • Read our editorial features list – you may find a tie-in.

Please send editorial submissions to the editor and attach photos where possible. We encourage everyone to have a go at writing in Australian Traveller magazine, and regularly publish small pieces from our readers. There are some fantastic prizes to be won, and it might just be your first step on the way to becoming the next Bill Bryson!
