We’ll be the first to admit it, this subject matter could so easily be dry reading, but this little guide to ‘familiar plants, along roadsides, in fields and forgotten places’ is actually quite a fascinating read.
Written by an adjunct professor of plant ecology at Charles Sturt University who clearly knows his stuff, the book includes an engaging account of each plant’s history, relatives and botanical details.
Keep it in your car to sort your roadside freesias from your frangipanis.
