Queensland’s Affordable Accommodation – Campground

Where is it?

North Stradbroke Island, Qld. Backing onto Cylinder Beach, considered to be one of the most popular surf beaches on the island, this campground is well-shaded and set in an idyllic island environment, complete with clear waters and golden sands.

What’s it like?

Cylinder Beach Camping Area comprises 60 unpowered tent sites and eight powered sites, but pets are not allowed. Visitors can access toilet and shower facilities, a playground, laundry and electric barbecues in an adjacent public park, while a general store and takeaway restaurant are located 300 metres away. The area is not accessible to campervans, trailers or caravans.

How much does it cost?

Unpowered sites from $41 per couple per night or from $48 per couple per night for a powered site. All campsites must be booked, and permits are required for beach camping. Another permit is required for driving on the beach.
