The Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival

Long Live The King

“I’m all shook up. Mmm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!”

Put on your best hip-swivelling impersonation of Elvis and join more than 8,000 others as they gather to celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday this January. And no, you won’t have to fly to Las Vegas it’s rather close to home. Parkes in Central NSW is where it’s happening – at the Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival.

The five-day fun-filled event will be absolutely free and open to everyone. It will feature the best look-a-like and sound-a-like contests, the Elvis Street Parade, Elvis talent quests, displays of Elvis memorabilia, an Elvis Gospel Church Service and more than 120 individual events.

Countrylink is also providing special return train services aboard the Countrylink Elvis Express from Sydney to Parkes. Train travellers will be serenaded by one of many Elvises on the way there and can expect a grand larger-than-life Elvis-style welcome at the station platform.
