The Chinese Moon Festival will be happening in September and will be held at the Darling Harbour Chinese Garden of Friendship

On a night where the moon is at its fullest and brightest, venture down to the Chinese Garden in Darling Harbour for the Chinese Moon Festival.

Romance is sipping wine under a full moon. Add to the equation lanterns, a sound and light show and firework effects and you have an unconventional, yet unique and romantic outing.

From September 11 to 14 the Chinese Moon Festival will be held at the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour.

Ideal for a romantic date or family jaunt, the Moon Festival provides you with a chance to be entertained by dragon and lion dancers and snack on Chinese food and moon cakes (a traditional Chinese delicacy).

The Moon Festival is traditionally a time to reflect on the beauty of the full moon and the myth of the immortal Goddess Chang O. The Chinese Garden in Darling Harbour is one of just a few traditional public Chinese gardens outside Asia and boasts serene pavilions, waterfalls and lakes.

To be a part of the centuries-old tradition, tickets are available from August 18th at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children (kids under four are free).
